Melissa was trained in narrative journalism at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies in Portland, Maine and currently writes for several local and international publications. Although she studied photography at Boston University and Tufts University, she is largely self-taught. While most of her current photography work is editorial, she is always looking for new personal projects and collaborations. In addition to freelance work, she is also the publisher of Ataula, a food blog, and Kita Collective, a narrative-based travel magazine. She is available for editorial work, collaborations, and commissions. She lives in Barcelona, Spain.
